His letter read: I am a soldier of the Islamic State. I have attacked Cardiff today because your government keep on bombing targets in Syria and Iraq. There will be more attacks in the future.

Jurors at Birmingham crown court were told Gunton had also written a note with bullet points including run down the non-believers with a car and strike the infidels who oppose Allah in the neck.

That kid looks like he'd get fucking wrecked by a dachshund

There's no way this guy will be in for life. Not in the UK.

will serve at least 11 years in prison before being considered for parole.

With this logic you think it's ok to have child porn. I mean "it's just a thought or a fantasy I wasn't ever going to actually molest a child" right....?

It's illegal to own child porn, that's a law. Thinking about how you would commit a crime isn't. Making plans on how you would break into a candy store isn't or else every crime book would be against the law when they have to lay out storyboard on how they would film/write the movie/book.

A. Any person who commits or conspires to commit, or aids and abets the commission of an act of terrorism, as defined in 18.2-46.4, is guilty of a Class 2 felony if the base offense of such act of terrorism may be punished by life imprisonment, or a term of imprisonment of not less than twenty years.

Plotting to commit acts of terrorism is and should be a crime. Life imprisonment or even prisonment in general, dunno if that should be the punishment. There needs to be some sort of rehabilitation for these individuals and if they go to prison for a short amount of time they're most likely gonna come out even worse.

There's a good chance this douche wasn't planning on doing anything and he was just being some try hard idiot to impress his friends. Jailing these dummies doesn't solve anything imo and it ends up being a slippery slope into thought crimes at a certain point. Rehabilitation and counseling is the way to go and would be cheaper for tax payers in the long run.
