I now make it again. let's study the shooters and find out what is different with their brains. maybe we can stop shootings from happening if we can spot mass shooters in advance

Study how? A person like that will be unreliable in self surveys, won't cooperate with testers.
You could fMRI and catscan and all that, but i think youd be suprised at how little new info would be found.
We've tested antisocial brains. This is just a new way to manifest antisocial behaviors.

A small handful of people doing this out of 300 million people across the nation that could just as easily do it is a ridiculously low statistic anyway.

Expecting to be able to stop shootings with mental health is like expecting your factory to never put out a dud.

Oh yeah, and one violent US city has an annual murder rate roughly 10 times higher than spree shooters do across the nation. A hefty portion of that is attributed to gun violence.

Maybe we really need to take a deep look at SSRI side effects and the side effects of psych meds in general. But that's crazy talk, it's totally guns that are the problem.

It's funny, everyone goes after the NRA special interest groups in the wake of this shit, but nobody takes a look a big pharma and psych meds after the fact. The media would never steer the narrative against it's advertisers though, so it's all about guns. Not the crazy ideations of prescription pharmaceutical consumers.

My personal, opinion;
It's not the brain that needs to be looked at as much as upbringing and culture and their effect on the brain.
If an honest evaluation was made on these two things, with no political or moral agenda involved, I would venture to guess that it has a lot to do with the culture and the demands/priorities of it.
If that is the case, and honest evaluation will never be made because it would require and adjustment of culture and the priorities of it.
The culture is all about money, and those that benefit from it, will not be fond of that change.
So everything will stay as it is.

They make my panic disorder manageable. I have a xanax prescription but I never need to take those as long as Im on my SSRI.

Side effects are all relative to each individual. Some people will experience several and need to stop taking a medication, and some people wont experience any side effects at all.
