Also it said to reprocess my charge once I confirmed it was me via text. But like, I have the games on Origin. Is EA going to sue me?

if they processed it as a charge back, you have a good chance of getting banned.

Contact EA support, they tend to be rather good. Ask what is likely to happen, and chances are they will leave a note on your account that will help deal with issues.

They said I should contact Citi and tell them to cancel the charge back. They also said I wouldn't be banned and would be able to repurchase the games if the charge back went through.

Contacted Citi. They said there was a transaction with Origin that was declined, and then one after that that was approved. So I'm good.

I love online chat for customer support. It's so much quicker than calling.

I have never had this sentiment. Every time I've tried to go through support online, it's taken days to a week for them to get back to me at all, or in Nintendo's case, never even did get back to me.

I've had hundreds of transactions with Steam, Blizzard, Humble Bundle, GOG...

Origin is just too shady I guess.

I work in a bank call center. A lot of disputes are filed regarding videogame transactions. Our debit cards run through visa, and when you file a dispute for fraud, Visa accepts liability and has to pay for the fraudulent transactions. So in order to prevent paying out that money, they shut down your card before it racks up until you authorize the transactions, and accept liability for them.
