Had a history of violence but they blamed something else. That is where a lot of these owners go wrong.

I was attacked by a pit bull while delivering flowers in the middle of town. Some people were visiting their mom next door to the house I was at and had to bring their 2 pits. They tied one up outside but not the "friendly" one.

He ripped my shirt off my back and was lunging again when the owner came out yelling and pulled him off.

Everyone has a story to tell about how it was outside circumstances but these dogs get fucking vicious. And the fact that they all just seem to snap makes it even worse. It throws the whole "blame the owner" argument out the window. If these animals are wired to snap and rip your face off, they shouldn't be kept around as family pets.
