Most of the canidates dont promote themselves. Spent the last week trying to find out about the canidate's ideas and policies. The most I could fine was a facebook page of the incumbant with almost no information about their plans for office, just bullet points on why they are qualified.

At this rate I am probably just voting for the incumbant. There are things I would like to see changed, but overall things seem to be going alright at a local level. And he is qualified.

If the people running against him dont want to bother campaigning or even putting up a facebook page I cant trust they will be able to run the office anyway.

Well, for starters, you're not going to see political ads for a lot of positions outside of top leadership roles like mayors and aldermen -- and a lot of the positions (like town clerk) aren't really jobs which require much in the way of ideas or policy. And, more generally, all that most people seem to care about is whether the person has an "R" or "D" by their name.

However, if you actually cared, there's generally information about the candidates on the political party site for your area.

Whats weird about this is that Ive heard recently that voting in local elections is perhaps more important and relevant than any other kind of election.
