Based on some posts I've seen in the past, I am more curious of how many folks do not have friends. Granted much like how some folks do not care for dating or being in a relationship, I'm sure there are some who do not care for friendships as well or was burned by it some time ago.

Prob because familiar with all the posters?

I mean you've been here for years. Reddit is dumb because the sheep mentality/voting comment system really turns me off from posting anything (People are wayyyy more likely to downvote anything if it has at least 1... even legit posts)

Facebook is literally basing Trump an animal vids with cringe music

Tbh, some people here take this place too seriously but it's still funny/interesting to see how all of you are doing. You can argue that a lot of ppl who use the internet are lonely. I cannot imagine being ol an alone without it, that sounds awful :(

It kinda surprises me at times but at the same time, GFaq has been around for quite a while. I'd imagine long time users have already gone through high school, post-HS education/training, and like you said, gotten married and with kids. Hell, some of my World of Warcraft guildmates and in-game friends went through major life events as well since I met them the mid 2000's.

If somebody is lonely simply because they don't have a s/o, the rest of their life must be pretty pathetic. That'd mean they'd have no friends, no family, no co-workers, and no other relationships. And, if that kind of a person did get in a relationship, they'd probably make their s/o miserable because they'd be insufferably clingy. Those kind of people should be more concerned with building up the rest of their life rather than just looking for a s/o.

Yeah, the site is aging. There's a creeping barrage towards an older and older demographic. This place definitely slowed down a lot about 10 years ago.

I started posting here just over 18 years ago (this is my second account). Though unlikely, I could biologically have an adult child now, if I'd gotten somebody pregnant while I was in grade 10. The past year or two I've really started feeling old.

I have not been single for the past 12 years. That in itself is a miracle.

s/os come and go. It's your friends, family, etc, that'll be around. The kind of people who expect a s/o will complete their lives inevitably wind up disappointed. And, having cohabbed with both romantic partners and platonic roommates, I can assure you that most people overrate the experience. Quite frankly, I prefer keeping separate residences with a partner. The only must for co-habbing is if you have kids.

Which it is was in gens 1 & 3. Otherwise it's not a matter of difficulty, it's a matter of preference. That said, I'm not sure why a woman who doesn't want either marriage or kids is trying to suggest I have commitment issues >_>

Which it is was in gens 1 & 3.

That's two gens out of 7. A minority.

That means there are five gens in which it is not overpowered.

Therefore, generally speaking, Sleep Powder is not OP.

You can't separate the mechanic from the move. The whole reason sleep powder stopped being as good down the road was that the sleep mechanics kept getting nerfed generation after generation.

Oh, and what two gens were those? The two generations were Bulbasaur was a starter, which was the whole point of it. More importantly, what went wrong in your life that you feel the need to incessantly rehash a handful of arguments from almost a year ago?

In was mentioned in the context of a specific Pokemon who had it vs other Pokemon who didn't. Besides that, there were only three specific sleep-inducing moves in RBY: Spore (exclusive to the slow, weak Paras/Parasect), Sleep Powder (shared by a handful of grass Pokemon), and Hypnosis (held by more top-tier Pokemon, but only 60% acc).

Smeargle wasn't RBY but sure, it's cool that he gets it. His stats are absolute garbage so he can't do much with it, though.

You speak to me on many levels Zeus. I also agree hence why I'm much more interested in building my own life before I invite others into it. That's not to say if by some stroke of fate I meet someone it would be off the table though and I'm certainly not a clingy person.
