There's a creeping barrage towards an older and older demographic. This place definitely slowed down a lot about 10 years ago. I started posting here just over 18 years ago (this is my second account). Though unlikely, I could biologically have an adult child now, if I'd gotten somebody pregnant while I was in grade 10. The past year or two I've really started feeling old. I have not been single for the past 12 years. And, if that kind of a person did get in a relationship, they'd probably make their s/o miserable because they'd be insufferably clingy. Those kind of people should be more concerned with building up the rest of their life rather than just looking for a s/o. You speak to me on many levels Zeus. I also agree hence why I'm much more interested in building my own life before I invite others into it.
