1. Turn off autosave on travel. Reduces the chance of crashing, and reduces load times a ton. Maybe keep an autosave on sleep or wait if you want.

2. Save manually. A. LOT. Game tends to crash pretty often, and some quests do bug out, so keep a decent number of spaced back up saves (5 or more).

3. Energy weapons are good. Especially since that includes flamers

That was the other thing I was thinking of.

I just don't want another Fallout 3 scenario where you're level 30 and wasting like 2 or 3 clips per super mutant.

Ah, and if you want stealth the Silent Running perk is a must. Most of detection is based on sound, which becomes zero when in sneak mode with this perk.

Also the...I think it's get back perk or something like that, sometimes knocks enemies on their ass when you shoot them. Combined with shotgun means you're just pushing bodies when they drop.

While we're at it, Comprehension is another all around perk to have. Along with Better Criticals.

And if you're doing Hardcore mode, definitely get Pack Rat.

Comprehension isn't really needed since all dlc will give me levle 50

Not much better at level 4 though.

And it's extremely useful for the magazine boosts that'll let you pass higher skill checks early on. Not to mention the extra 10% crit chance from True Police mags.

Ah I'm getting new Vegas for my PC after I beat fallout 3. But when I get Vegas I'm modding the fuck out of it as I already have over 2300 hours on Xbox

Keep CHA low; I usually go 1, with an implant boost to 2. CHA is the SPECIAL most easily amplified through buffs; with the right wearables / consumables, having base stats of 34 in Speech and Barter will allow you to pass skill checks of 80 in both categories, which is typically the max you'll need unless you want to talk down the final boss. But the higher your base CHA goes past 2, the more you negate the maximum temporary buff.

Aim for the Pack Rat perk, if you are playing hardcore, any item with a weight of 2 or less is halved. Applies to ammo and food, allowing you to carry more.

I'm doing a run right now as well.

I'm siding with the ncr and am sneak/sniper. I used most of my perks on the xp boost, skill points and the intense training boosts.

I'm just trying to max all my base stats cause I'm dumb like that.
