My usual thing is go to the gym run on the treadmill for 1 mile. or 10-15 minutes then go to the weights. Its usually just like 10 minutes or 15. I do like 4 or 5 sets of 10 reps. Start with the 25 dumbbells, go to 30. Then do the barbell at like 70 lbs maybe 90s lbs. Also thats another thing should I just stick to just one weight number to lift? Some days I feel up to alot then others, I may just stick to 70.
Also usually do every other day, sometimes 2 days in between. --- On Your Mark...Get Set........GO!!!!!! ... Copied to Clipboard!

not nearly enough info No, I guess I've been doing what I flt feels right or I'm in the mood for. But perhaps I should have an actual plan, like you said. Tho when you say legs, I do the treadmill everyday, does that mean the legs machine? --- On Your Mark...Get Set........GO!!!!!! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Any way, my advice is to do an actual program that has recommendations for what lifts to do and how to increase weights. Rather than going to the gym and doing random weights and workouts

It sounds like you're just randomly working out, not lifting enough weight, etc.
What you're doing is definitely better than nothing. Youll probably see some results but theyll come much more slowly than if you get on a proper routine. Just Google "Starting Strength" and do that. PPP has a really good program for beginners that's similar if you want to try that. --- PSN: Jiek ... Copied to Clipboard!

The TC clearly doesn't know enough about weight lifting to know what information to provide. I mean, you would think it'd be common sense to tell people what exercises you are doing with the weights.
And no cardio work lake running or biking does not count as "leg work." It's actual weight lifting exercises like squats, leg curls, deadlifts, etc. You are better off reading long tutorials on weight lifting than you are asking questions. You seem a little too lacking in knowledge. --- just tell them all your base doesn't belong to us because we were getting stoned...they'll understand-Ken156 ... Copied to Clipboard!

not nearly enough info Turbam posted... Download Jetfit I say do this. This is what I did when I first started out. Use the app to look up excercises for specific muscle groups. And find a routine you're comfortable with. Go around you gyms machines and see what they do and what muscle groups they work out and add them to your plan as well. --- Dunking off the vert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lH_pyqaS13c ... I don't know what they are called. If you don't know what they are called then you probably aren't so familiar with what muscles are being used either or even necessarily how to perform them correctly. Not being able to name every exercise you do and what muscles they work and thinking that running constitutes a proper leg workout are all red flags.
