Do you stand in front of your TV and pledge when it comes on? I think there's a mild sense of disrespect from you if you are just going to sit there while you hear the song of glory playing out loud like that.

I mean, how is it that people who kneel during the anthem less Patriotic than those who watch it sitting on the couch and bitching over it?

Like seriously. Anthem disrespect all around to anyone who doesn't stand in front of their TVs during the song.

I've watched countless sports games in bars and have literally never seen anyone stand while watching.

Yet every time a kneeling story gets posted by the local news Facebook pages, you'll have these people saying that they shoot up out of their chairs in their living room and sing along with tears of joy streaming down their face (yes, someone literally claimed they did that every time).

I still don't understand how kneeling is considered disrespectful. It's good enough for God, but not for his children apparently.

I don't have a strong opinion about the issue at all but I feel the need to clarify here.

There's a difference between kneeling to honor someone and kneeling because you can't bring yourself to salute.

How many people are even in the room when the anthem is on? I was under the impression most people went to the bathroom/fridge during the anthem so they're ready for the game itself, and those who are in the room aren't paying attention to the TV at all.
