The second smallest country in the world (behind The Vatican), Monaco is comprised of a single city. The country has no income tax, and has become of the the world's most elite tax havens for the ultra-wealthy. The luxurious Monte Carlo casino is located here and is owned by the government. The casino generates enough money to run the country (hence no need for taxes)

There are net worth requirements to become a citizen, and virtually everyone who works there commutes across the border every morning. The actual residents of Monaco are almost all millionaires and billionaires from around the world. The country is a fortress of wealth, and has the largest per-capita police force in the world.

This video really doesn't do the country justice. I visited while studying abroad in France a few years back. Everything was spotless, and parts of the city had sidewalks made of marble. Almost all cars were sports cars (you would notice when a car WASN'T an ultra-luxury vehicle). When I had dinner at one of the restaurants, a single bottle of water was $17. There were no taxis to take me back to France--only limousines.

This country is what heaven looks like--which is ironic because everyone there is going to hell.

Monaco seems like a cool place. I hope to go to one of the casinos there some day.

Also it's still a pretty absolute monarchy from what I understand, but the monarch is smart not to act too much like a dick or he'd have a revolution on his hands.

What's the net worth requirement

500k EUR in cash + a property purchase of at least another 500k (property realisticaly costs much more)

The minimum investment required is atleast EUR 1 million of which EUR 500,000 is needed to be deposited in a Monaco Bank, in addition to purchasing of sale deed of property worth EUR 500'000. The property prices start from EUR 500'000 and upwards as the real estate has been in high demand. Accomodations are very expensive as a renting a small flat could cost a minimum of EUR 3'000 and above.

Back during Italian Unification, those who supported unification (I believe especially in the Kingdom of Two Sicilies) were prosecuted and San Marino served as a safe haven for them to flee to. So when Italy was unified, the new kingdom agreed for them to keep their independence as a way of showing their gratitude of helping their cause.

This is where I had dinner. I table-for-one'd it and had 4 servers assigned to my table + was offered reading material by the Maitre D'. They had a team of staff (in tuxedos) standing at attention in the back just looking to see if anyone's glasses were below half full (like in Downton Abbey). The restaurant also had a retractable roof, which they opened up once the stars were visible. Price without drinks was $200 for myself.

No. Offshore accounts is a tax dodge. Moving to a more beneficial area - literally uprooting yourself and moving to a different state or country - is not.

By your definition, everyone who's ever moved out of California or New York is guilty of dodging taxes.

Are you familiar with the correlation between alleged near death experiences and lucid dreams? DMT?

I'm not edgy or atheist. I've seen you enough to be really fucking disappointed that you didn't already know that. Shame on you. The perceptions of the time after death within the dying distressed mind vary depending on the life and perception attached to said mind, and heavenly and hellish experiences are often connected to such experience depending on the one experiencing them. I have a minor idea as to what to expect myself from my own hyper-lucid dreams, though I fully expect to be knocked on my ass because even lucid dreams are nothing compared to the final experience. Still, one can have an idea what to expect, if one understands.

You call me 'atheist' and 'edgy'

You are in for more surprises, and I wish there was a way that I could retroactively confirm that on your behalf, regardless of which one of the two of us expires first, but that is laughably impossible.

That's one of my favorite parts about the place. They can flick a switch and the city shuts down and turns into an F1 track, because nobody REALLY needed to be anywhere anyway. The pre-race F1 segments from Monaco are great. Interviews with people who are so blindingly rich they have no clue. "I couldn't get to the boutique, it was awful!" So what did you do? "I was just flown to the airport and we flew to Paris for the day instead." I got nothing against those people, it's just interesting to see how that segment lives.
