C++ for how useful it is for everything. Common Lisp for fun.

Probably Python.

I know a bit more about C++, but I can't always be bothered with it. Very few things actually require it.

C++

People say it's difficult for newbies to learn and I wouldn't say I'm great at it yet, but it was the first programming language I was taught and I've enjoyed it a lot since then.

Java because it's really all I know (well) for back-end stuff and I hate Javascript.

barebones JDK/J2EE development was really painful back in 1.4 (when i started), but libraries like Apache Commons make the painful parts of the JDK simple and frameworks like Spring (omg i love it) make J2EE stuff relatively simple. the stuff introduced since then, especially stuff added in 1.6-1.8 have made the base language a lot nicer and 1.9 has some cool features as well. i agree the language is somewhat slow to evolve, especially compared to others out there, but its because they're very careful about how they change things.

I want to learn ASP.Net since so many employers seem to be looking for people with those skills.
