The game really is a slog. I did them all except for Leon (was saving his for last because best haircut), got to his campaign and I did like the first mission or two and ended up uninstalling it -- couldn't muster up the motivation to keep going.

It was so repetitive.

I dropped RE6 because of Chris' campaign. Mechanically, it wasn't bad but it was just repetitive as shit. RE6 should have just focused on Leon's campaign only

And Chris's campaign is probably 2nd best to Leon too, although that's entirely by default in the other two being so bad.

Idk if this is your first time playing it but Leon's final boss also got a big HP nerf from launch, thing took literally 20-30 minutes to kill on higher difficulties originally.

in order to alleviate tedium you should play chapters simultaneously as in finish one chapter from each character in succession(though timeline is a bit iffy but it clearly states where in the timeline you're at so feel free to play 2 chapters in a row to catch up with the others etc.)

managed to almost get through the entire game but still ended up quitting in the middle of (minor spoilers):the 4th character's story.. yeah, game doesn't end where you think it does.

I remember hearing Leon's campaign was the best, so me and a friend rented it to play through it. All i remember was WE'RE GOING... TO CHINA!

I'm actually playing through Resident Evil Revelaitons again now on Switch. Beat it on 3DS but never got the sequel. I figured I should play through the original before jumping into RER2. I'm surprised at how well it holds up as a home console release despite being designed for the 3DS.

Finished James campaign. Probably the best so far. Also best Adas first chapter. Easily the worst chapter I've played. Constantly getting stumbled during a part where you are supposed to be moving fast isn't fun. Also getting trapped in a room with annoying enemies that explode is annoying. And they want you to be stealthy in the beginning part? The fucking game isn't built for that. What a shit show. Please tell me her campaign gets better.

I'd say Chris' campaign is the "highest" if you can call it that.

I still think Chris' campaign is better than the rest due to the fact it embraces the fact it's an action game and has the least amount of bullshit by far. Although the helicopter fight in chapter 3 probably wins the most atrocious game design in RE6. Plus it has the best story, characters and music in that campaign.

The rest of the campaigns are horrible.

The clunky controls ruin all the parts that are good otherwise. The game constantly takes control away from you when there are enemies around. And the enemies can move around while you are frozen while the cut scene is playing. So when you get control the enemies are already blasting you at point blank. They want you to play Ada stealthily but the controls aren't made for that so you have to either run past everyone or clumsily try to peak around corners. The game isn't horrible but it's so fucking annoying it ruins what should be fun.

RE4 and 5 (barring a few moments) are set up for their control methods and are built heavily around them. Re6's design hurts its controls. the camera layout and movement, how wonky the cover system is (and very inconsistent), the weird melee and how some moves will not hit based on where you are (despite doing the move directly over the enemy), the game in general trying to interpret what you want to do ala assassins creed where if one pixel touches a corner of an object the game feels you want to vault over an object to the side instead of just run past it (immensely annoying in mercs). you can do some cool shit with it, but the whole thing is just too finicky, loose and sloppy.

I finished it. It's over. I played a few rounds of mercenaries. It's surprisingly fun. I got perfect scores with every character back in RE4 but I don't think I'm gonna do that here.

Ada's is especially bad lol.

It was originally just a single-player scenario, but they added in co-op later on. The second player is just this faceless dude in riot gear who disappears and teleports around as Ada traverses areas.

Mercenaries in this one is my favorite but the campaign is full of all these little flaws that make it really frustrating to play. I mean, it didn't stop me from clicking something like 80 hours on it, but I just don't feel the urge to boot it up again ever.
