They don't ban everyone in sight, either. For one, there are users they probably wish they could ban and know that those select individuals wouldn't come back, but they know that banning means little this day in age against those same select individuals.

Really what kind of buzz are you looking for on a message board?

We'd much rather be safe than having pure viciousness, invasive tripe and dirty perversions in our face everyday. A quality universe doesn't include anybody that thinks sending dick pics to a pm box is ok.

You know, ICO, if you don't like what you see on internet message boards then you could always NOT partake in said message boards. Like at all. No one would mind if you stopped coming for that reason, I don't think.

ive probably been banned more than most here since i joined in 2000 or 01.

not really seeing why i should care about moderationa with little to no consequences(karma loss for example) on a video game website designed for teenagers.

i get i am sounding like a tough guy but hey i break the rules i get meaningless punishment and i go about my merry way

the only time in recent memory ive disputed a moderation was like last year when erik marked a topic of mine for illegal activities. it was about nasal snuff which isnt illegal at all. i disputed it because i knew erik was wrong.

moderation overturned. topic not reposted. kinda wouldnt have gone through the effort if i knew it wasnt gonna be reposted

In theory running your own forum/website would be a job and you would probably make money from it if it turned out to be a success. As for start up fees? Eh he could just use the tax payers money to pay for it's domain and whatever to get himself going rather than spending it on the latest console.

he very well might. I know for me, it's not really worth it to me to get a job. I am content with what I have. and getting a job would take away my benefits for just a little profit maybe. I'd probably end up only making a tiny bit more than what I get for free. when I worked in Washington, I could not afford cable tv. now living jobless in Alaska, I have cable tv. my parents keep telling me I could buy more things I like but it's just not worth the stress to me. my life really is miserable when I have to go to work. I dont' even like to go on vacations anymore. I really am mostly only truly happy when I am at home. so having to go to a job every day is hell.

Tonight a mod told me to stop talking about my austism and that it counts as antagonistic and flaming somehow. So yea they can make no sense it turns out.

I posted this about that glee pedo guy that someone else posted,

That got modded. So guess the mods like pedo's?
