Is this what a stroke looks like? Fr though, I have a toys r us express store nearby to me, and everything about it sucks. It's very rare that I've bought anything there for my son.

Then I realized it might have already been closed down but I don't know.

It's kind of weird, I'm sure I went there a lot as a little kid (less than 7) with my family when we lived in CA but really all I remember is going there once a month with my dad to pick out a video game and leaving after 7 :\ I guess we pre-ordered the N64 and LoZ OOT and stuff there. Man all my memories are like video game based fml

No surprise. Kids don't play with toys much these days, they are all I have tablets and play video games. Plus Toys R Us is too expensive for most people.

Same here.
I bring my son there when we go visit grandma since she lives like 5 mins from it.
I know theyre overpriced or whatever. But its the experience. Going into a store that is all toys. My son loves going there. All my kids did (my other 2 are too old and cool for the toy store now lol)

Who is they? Everything I read about this is the fact they got too leveraged which killed their cash flow with interest payments and the fact other discount retailers are selling toys at lower prices basically led to the bankruptcy.

Why aren't Millennials having as many kids? Wonder if that has anything to do with the property and income taxes in NJ being so catastrophic only poor people and wealthy people can afford to have multiple kids? You buy a house that can actually fit kids, you're paying $10,000-$12,000 in property tax, you earn an income that can actually support kids you're paying another ten percent in state income tax.

Thats what Im leaning towards. Kids dont play with toys, at least not to the degree that I did when I was a kid. iPads and video games reign supreme in childhood these days.

Didn't go to Toys R Us very often as a kid since there weren't any super close by, but still sad.

I'm glad I got to explore the giant Toys R Us on Times Square before it closed for good (yes, I know that one's already been closed for a couple years).

I can't remember the last time I saw a toy commercial on tv. Granted, I don't watch Nickelodeon or CN anymore, but those channels are nowhere near as popular as they were in the 90s and 2000s.

Huh, I'm surprised the older one in my area isn't closing. The closest one was just built a few years ago, so I'm not surprised it's staying open.

It's a shame the one near my grandma's house is closing, though. I have memories of going there on Black Friday as a kid.
