Nah. Most just put it in the charity box anyway when I tell them to keep the change as apparently a lot of pubs/bars/clubs staff can't accept tips in the places I visit. I just gave up telling them to keep the change at that point for the most part unless it's just a few pence that nobody cares about.

Kek, kinda my first thought as well. In general, getting women there is what brings the guys there and that's how most of them really make their money.

Given that I don't drink, the bar scene was never my scene. I've really only ever bothered for get-togethers with colleagues after work and that was more just to get along than any real interest. Plus most of the bars in my area are shit anyway.

The only time I do that is early hours in the morning when it's the only place open and I want more drinks to finish my night with. Not worth it in theory as at that time I only have time for one or two more drinks.

For the ambience, homie. To meet new people. And for fun! It's funny because i as here last Sunday and they didn't change get cover then. It must be for this specific event because they knew more people would show up.
