...how the fuck do you play this game?

Like, I thought it was gonna be straight forward like Jstars or something

its just random explosions all of the time

I thought I was blocking but it doesn't guard anything

then the team summons monsters for no reason

what the hell is happening?

I played the basic tutorial and haven't played again since the DBZ beta started. It did seem quite confusing, and I've played Dissidia. Some of that is that I haven't played Dissidia in a while, but just having 3v3 makes it a lot more complicated, not to mention the passives, support skills and summon system they added.

the camera is not only GOD AWFUL

but trying to switch opponents is the god damn worst too

I know r2 and L2 are to switch

but it ALWAYS switches to the one thats farthest away

is there any way to set up to make it where it goes to the next closest one?

I haven't tried the beta because I saw it was only 3v3. Is the main game going to be like that? It'd be a real shame if you can't do one on one.

There's 1v1 in the full game.

unfortunately no ranked 1v1 only in free battle and custom battle

I wish we could just get a proper crossover game in classic ATB FF style that isn't a gatcha.

I think its more shallower than JStars

and even then Jstars was shallow!

but Jstars had 3 special moves you can do, you can power up your meter, and you had a super move

You had weak and strong moves and you could combo them together, you also had assists

you could link EVERYTHING too! it really was a 3d movement fighting game!

here, you have your "attack" button, your finisher, which I can't seem to link together

you can summon monsters, but you have to destroy summon crystals first. I guess it acts as your super move but not really

you do have special moves but they're magic, like Poisonga. and they're finite. I can't really see what the conditions are to using them

...and thats it!

This game should've been epic! it feels pretty sterile too. Jstars was hot blooded anime Jojo Kenshiro Goku blasting action! Why doesn't this game feel like it's bringing in all of FF's goodness together?

this beta seemed to limit each characters moveset

In the last one you had more choice of what your brave attacks and HP attacks were

you should unlock more as you continue to level up

but the point is you don't have that much access to them IN BATTLE

nor have that many to begin with!

When the original Dissidia came out, I gave it a try, couldnt really get a grip on it, and quit fairly quickly. Came back to it about a year later and absolutely loved it.
