Imma take this with a grain of salt cause people said the second half of Luke Cage show was worse than the first half and I liked the second half just the same as the first. I'm enjoying it so far. And YAAAS for a hot asian chick! She's the closest I'll get to having X23 in a show or movie and she looks like she's going to be an awesome fighter! I watched the the first episode of Luke Cage but it wasn't quite my cup of tea. The character Luke Cage was kinda cool though(also he's Locke from Halo 5 lol). Even still, I was hopeful for The Defenders. Don't really want to spoil anything, but just don't get your hopes up. The Punisher, on the other hand, was much more enjoyable, at least for me. In case you're wondering, it's a ton of infighting, the Hand and The Defenders all fighting among themselves, and more and more of the bullshit justifying their actions blah blah. Yeah, we're gonna set off a bomb, but Luke Cage says "But no more innocent people get hurt ok?" WTF, you are setting off a bomb in the city. The problem I have with it is the fact that it feels like it just kinda meanders about with no real overall plot. The main villain is weak and doesn't have much screen presence especially compared to the hand. I also didn't like how the main character comes off as impulsive and naive. Which doesn't strike me as a trait a mystical Kung Fu master would have. I think one thing they should of did more of is have more variations of fighters for him to fight. Like 1 episode a Muay Thai boxer. Another an mma fighter. Another a monkey Kung Fu fighter. They touch on it a bit but not enough imo. Especially for a show about the world's greatest martial artist.
