I've been watching Harry Potter movies and feel like playing a Harry Potter game.

Looks like Lego Harry Potter is my only option. Wish there were more Harry Potter games though.

Are they any different from other Lego games?

I really want to play a HP RPG though. With modern graphics and gameplay like The Witcher 3 or something.

Play the Gameboy Color games (PS and CoS), those were great little RPGs for the system.

Lego Harry Potter games, I've only played the handheld versions of each, though I own the games on Steam as well.

Yeah I was thinking about buying them on Steam at some point.

I'll check out the GBC games. I saw there's a GBA version too?

Thanks!

I've never played them. I've always felt that a Harry potter mmo would be nice. Everyone would start at Hogwarts as a student and you can slowly take classes and complete activities to eventually take your OWLS and NEWTS to gain a profession as an adult. Obviously there's be much more to do after that. Maybe it'd be cool if you could actually start from a different wizarding school too. I feel like JK Rowling would need to be involved.

Different games on the Advance. With Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, PS1, PC, and PS2 / XBox / Cube (these three systems had the same game), there are so many different versions of Chamber of Secrets. :P

That sounds like it would be a fun game indeed.

Oh okay.

I just watched some gameplay of the GBC version and it looks good. I saw a bit of the GBA version and it also looks good. Maybe I'll try both.

Thanks!

They're different, but not so wildly different that you'll feel like you aren't playing a LEGO game. I only got to play the original Years 1-3 (I think it was those years) but never got to finish it.

They have their enjoyable moments, at least. Upon release, the Years 1-4 one had a game-ending bug in one of the hub basements, but they've since fixed that issue, so you likely won't have to deal with it.

i played year through 1-4. it feel like an old school lego game. no voice acting. everything become stale and mudane. but it's core game is fun. If it's $5-$10 it's worth it.

it's better than the Lego Movie.

But newer lego game are better.. like the marvel ones and lego batman 2 and star wars new hope....

ooh and lego city feels like a totally different type of game.

Rush the story, then start exploring, especially so in the first one.
The games are incredibly buggy, even for Lego games, and screw up in strange and wondrous gamebreaking ways.

yes. don't go in and collect everything in old lego games. complete the game and then go back. you can't grab everything until you beat the game.
