I mean think about it. A lot of girls say to some dudes like "If you were thirty feet taller I'd date you" or something like that. How do you feel that is different from "I'd date you if you had fair skin"

I mean, taking the example above, we can see that the other person is being shallow, yes, but both of those characteristics he / she's rejecting the partner for are completely genetic.

I say it again, I feel like rejecting someone that you personally connect with due to his or her aesthtetics it's completely shallow. But at the end of the day, we all have our preferences.

That's why I feel preferring white or black color due to their skin isn't racist. If it was like "I would date you if you weren't american / irish / european / whatever" then THAT would be racist.

But skin color is just aesthetic. If someone prefers white skinned people, it's like preferring black hair over yellow hair.

Dunno, just my opinion.

However, calling an individual a "racist" for this reason is ridiculous. Because if someone is a racist for being influenced by a historically and/or currently racist culture, then all members of that culture are inherently racist and the word loses any explanatory power regarding individuals.

Anyway, I don't think its racist so long as we're talking exclusively skin tone. Like "I'm not attracted to whatever skin color" isn't racist but "I'm not attracted to X race because Y stereotype" is racist. Besides, not every person of the same race has the same skin tone, is it racist to think pale white girls are attractive but really tan white girls aren't?

If I pick a white girl to date over an asian girl it's because I like her more or identify with her more or because I'm more attracted to her physically. I won't say it's outright racist, I just think it's weird. There are a shitload of beautiful women of all skin colors. Making the outright statement that x color is one you wouldn't find attractive seems weird to me. Like you really expect me to believe you have never found x race attractive? Do you live in a small city where you don't see them around much or something? Because I can go to any big city and find an attractive one instantly.

But maybe I'm just different. I also don't see how things like hair color can drastically make someone unatracted to the other.

If you've never been sexually attracted to someone of a certain race, it wouldn't surprise me at all if you then said that you don't find a certain race attractive.

If we're not talking about attraction, then the chance that the person is racist increases pretty phenomenally. But attraction is what we're talking about.
