I got a Google Mini for Christmas and really like it so I ordered a smart plug so I could power on/off my TV. Unfortunately didn't look too much into it before ordering and I can't use it for the TV. If you had a spare smart plug what would you use it on? I was thinking maybe a lamp? It would be great for the AC, but I'd rather put it on something I can use now

Without doing any research, what the hell is a smart plug? You can control it from your phone? If so Id say a lamp is your safest bet until you figure out something better.

Thats pretty cool. Id want to use it on my bedroom light if it was me. But I cant really think of anything else that Id use it on if I couldnt use it on something like my entertainment center.

well no you can't use it on your tv, it'll just act like it got unplugged, then you'd have to turn it on again.

you'd need something like an IR Blaster that when turned on sends a signal to turn something else on.

i'm sure there's something that does that, but there's no point to it tbh.
