Why are you comparing event quests, item packs, and such to G-Rank content, which has never been actual DLC and only been released as a brand new, full-priced standalone game in previous entries? let me throw you another example, several games had "super monster" DLC mission, stuff harder than G-Rank, and they were free, super alatreon, super jho, etc, i still don't see why you would assume from the get go that they would just slap a price when they could do the same thing, and even then why the fuck are we arguing when i would eat that shit up with or without a price tag

here's my issues with the game

1. the movesets on returning monsters have been nerfed or outright removed. diablos lost all the improvements he got in 3rd gen, effectively making him as difficult as 1st or 2nd gen diablos, which is to say, not very. rathalos meanwhile takes all the unfun parts about rathalos and soups them up to 11.

2. tiny monster roster, beating out only MH1 and Tri, both of which i criticize for having small rosters (mh1 had an excuse, tri did not)

3. it's attempting to be the next tri, which sends very poor messages about sticking power, seeing as how tri had none

5. every new monster is a dragon. where are the bugs? where are the amphibians? where are the fanged beasts? why does everything have to be a dragon?

6. anjanath is the single laziest designed monster in the entire series

7. capcom has the potential to make it the best mh game, but will they? key word capcom

8. making weapons and armors looks stupidly easy, why play the game when 1 monster hunt will give you enough materials to make the entire armor set?

Wow... wouldn't have expected that. If that's the case, then I now have a grand total of six shows that I'm following right now that will continue into next season as well. This also means that I probably won't be picking up very much in the Spring season.

thing is unless you were OCD about armor sets you never made more than 2-3 armor sets per rank, you look for the one with the best skills and then make that

the players who insisted on upgrading their armor set from like, najarala to rathian never made any sense to me, these are similar rank monsters with similar defense tier armor, just pick the one with the armor skills you want and be done with it

i suppose in that case it's fine but if you're like me, i like to have to put SOMETHING resembling effort to make armor, not stupid ass MHFG grind, but what we had in MH4U was honestly fine, i don't see any reason to change it?

All of that I can understand. I'm happy with the new monsters for the most part, though yeah, would have liked to see a few fanged beasts myself.

About the armor thing, I myself relate in that I like the grind and satisfaction that comes from it. Is that just for early game armor sets? Late game sets are what I'm thinking about.

Last time i saw Tri got a fuckton of new people into the series making it even more popular and less of a niche game, i don't see how exactly that is a negative.

This will be a new introduction to the series for a lot of people given its gonna be on multiple platforms, including PC, i don't see the issue of them making it more accessible if it will mean they will get more people to play it, if anything you should be happy about it because, hey guess what, the game selling more means there will be more games, and it wont be a fucking dead franchise that was locked on a freaking dying mobile console before it reached the wii.

Though most of your points are entirely your own opinion and i will respect that, but i also wont delude myself thinking they're all right.

Not far off from the first time I saw him.

The Tundra theme was also pretty spooky and really fit the Nox. Plus all its armor and weapons were badass. Monster Hunter please bring it back.

khezu is a japanese fan favorite and capcom caters to their tastes, which is why zinogre is also in every game since it's release (barring mhw, which caters to the significantly smaller western fanbase. i guess they like trash like anjanath)
