Their uncustomizable, minuscule text size. A giant tv, a giant screen, all that space, all that empty space, just wasted. They shove the writing into a tiny little part of the screen and the rest is just blank space. Who does that? I mean honestly. How is this something only I've ever complained about. Even if you sit just an inch away from the tv screen or monitor screen there's no way this doesn't at least grate you a little.

Posting the images here doesn't really show the true impact of such tiny font size because seeing them on a computer screen that's right in front of your face is much different from a tv screen that's a few meters away from the couch, which is my setup at least.

Yeah I just opt to put those on ignore since I don't bother with trollish, dismissive remarks like that. And while 20 in is rather small, even my tv that's nearly three times that at 56in still doesn't take care of the problem so I actually have to get up and stand right in front of the tv for stuff like bios if you can believe it.

An actual complaint I can get behind! My new setup has my couch and tv further away from where they were in my old house and the can't really be moved due to the layout of the room. So now if theres a lot of text in a game I have to sit on the floor like a child to read it.

The fuck is everyone saying "get glasses" for? Text scaling in many games is really fucked. I have glasses, a 55" TV, and despite being within the appropriate sitting distance for a TV of that size, still have trouble making out small text in certain games to the point where I end up just putting a chair practically right in front of my TV to play. It's annoying as hell and TC is completely right.

i have my PC hooked up to a 42" TV about 5 feet away from me which i game and browse on. that's what i'm looking at the screenshots on right now. they aren't even full screen and i can make out all of the text with less than no issues.

5 feet according to google is only 1.5 meters, that's like nothing, not really proving your point. It's just that isn't really a good distance for me imo. I sit at least 3 to 4 meters away to really soak up the tv

Yeah pretty much. I remember in gen 7 I'd move a chair close to the tv but it's like, we shouldn't have to.

It's Xenoblade Chronicles X. It had absolutely horrendous font size overall, so in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, all the fonts are fucking massive, and I love it

It was so bad in Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts theres a patch for it lmao

Also in TEW2 theres a puzzle where you use the image of an item to figure out a passcode to a door lock. Well the image is so small I had to get up off the couch and walk over to my 55 HDTV to read it.

Yeah it was a problem for dead rising, and from what I hear that banjo kazooie game on 360. I don't know why RDR has gotten a free pass, or really most of Rockstar games, or really most of western developed games since they're the ones that tend to be the biggest culprits of this (although japanese devs have caught up in having awfully small font). Has anyone played Witcher 3, or really just the Witcher series in general? Elder scrolls/fallout?
