Sharing the message with her followers, of which there probably isn't a ton of overlap with her opponents (also of which she has more of than her respondents), is about all you can ask for. Well that and whatever (hopefully good) unknown advice she's giving Trump.

I think you have the wrong perspective on this. You're mostly talking about women who had to deal with the exact same things as their co-workers (to varying degrees). Women in an industry that seemed hopelessly controlled by men like Weinstein coming out in solidarity and saying that the people who came out before them were braver than they were for it aren't "self-serving".

Yea it is. They've got their careers. They've got their awards. All the hard, risky work is done, and now here they come wearing a black dress and getting praised for it. It's a joke. They did nothing when it would have helped people, and are now after the fact participating in a media campaign that makes every one of them look like paragons of virtue. They're sacrificing nothing and making themselves look good in the process.

You don't get to sit back while others risk their careers to expose a great injustice and then after you've survived any potential blacklists show up to win an award in a dress and get heralded as a champion of justice. You shouldn't get your name recognition elevated for doing nothing. If they really want to help? The next time they get a high profile role they can give it up to one of Weinstein's victims. Boosting your own career on the backs of victims you refused to help is as self-serving as it comes.
