I haven't been in college for 6 years, but I've decided to go back. I already have a BS in Business Administration and an MBA, but I've always thought of myself as an IT type person and have loved messing around with computers. So I decided to pursue a BS in CIT this past weekend and will start next week. I already have all the business requirements they require so I only need 12 CIT courses to finish. Maybe this will lead to an IT job working with networking, or hardware, or databases or something. I'm not really expecting to find a career in programming as that would require a CS degree and I'd need 20 courses to finish that.

Anyway, going back to school is gonna be really weird for me. I've worked full-time in an office doing research/compliance/and legal documents for so long. Kind of just fell into this job, but want to pursue something I know I will like better.

I'll give you one massive hint.

C#, Java, and Visual Basic.NET are all the same language.

I shit you not.

Virtually no difference between C# and Java (except that Java is open-source, and C# is Microsoft), and Visual Basic.NET is essentially C#, but with a syntax based off of BASIC (to the point where both C# and VB.NET are both off of the .NET framework, where a C# program can interact with a VB.NET program, with no issues whatsoever).

Also, prepare to smash your head into your desk when you get to loops (For loops, While loops, and Do-While loops being the main three ones, since GOTO doesn't exist anymore), classes, and inheritance, and extends.

Protip: Pick a discipline and focus all of your elective classes on that. Don't spread them around unless you want to run a helpdesk for the rest of your life. IE if you wanna do databases, focus on database classes. etc.
