Did some thinking, and I might just take the 1 day in jail and attempt to complete the program again. It won't be easy, but if I can manage to get a car and a job, I'll be able to manage. Surely it's better than taking the 3 to 5 years in prison...

I think you should take the 3 to 5 and get all your baggage out. You are just going to end up spending 3-5 in jail later when you fuck up again.

When the prison time is basically a certainty it is definitely worth getting out of the way instead of letting it hang over your head. Eventually they are going to stop letting tc back into the program and he will have wished he just took the time when he is young instead of being older and having his life usurped. He already lost all his possessions all hes gonna do is lose them again when he gets locked up

I only lost my $43 Invicta watch, you tripping. I'm sitting in my room right now with all of my possessions.. my gaming PC and all my media and clothes and shoes.. they ain't going nowhere.

Also, the only violation that causes 24 hours in jail is missing the drug test on Friday. And I have a good excuse in that my car was stolen so I had no way to get there. I don't have to tell them I relapsed. I never tested so they have no proof I was drinking at all. I just walk in there with a sob story about my car and I'll be given some more classes and overnight stay in jail and then be on my way...

Are you drunk? Someone stole your car and set it on fire and you lost your job

I don't even have a car to drive, so it doesn't matter how drunk I get anymore, even if I did get drunk. Which I have no access to alcohol anyways.

It does matter how drunk you get because like you say literally every time you fuck up and drink, you cant control yourself when you drink and get in a shitload of trouble.

I already had that debt before I started the job. This debt started over the summer, and it's mostly gas bills, car insurance, food, and cigs.

I just turned 27 three days ago and I have:
- No car
- Never moved out of my parent's house
- $3000 in debt on credit cards
- Violated drug court cause I got drunk all week so going to jail on Tuesday
- Lost my job this week where I made $9 an hour/40 hours a week cause I got drunk and didn't go in.
- Had my car stolen and burned to the ground on New Year's Day cause I got drunk and let a stranger drive it.
- Been single for 3 years.

I'm feeling pretty helpless right about now. Ruined my life in the span of 1 week.

Its not technically free by itself iirc, the rent is just greatly reduced. Ive only seen the process with somebody who didnt have kids though. But usually people on Section 8 get some type of check from the government as well so yeah, that income can usually pay off your part of the rent easily enough. But people on Section 8 have to undergo approval and be put on lengthy waiting lists...though some will have priority.

When I get out, I'll be homeless and broke with no car, but at least it will give me a reason to get out there and grind to get myself together. At least I'll finally be out of drug court and won't have to take 3 drug tests a week that cost 8 bucks each and pay $125 a month to court.
