FF3 on snes. Used to buy and sell games from pawnshops. Loose FF3 was $45-60 at the time, probably got 15 of them in the 3 or so years I pawnshopped for games.

I can't think of any game I've bought more than 2, maybe 3, times.

The answer is probably Final Fantasy 7. I bought it originally on PS1. Then again on PC on Steam. Then again on PS3/Vita when I thought I'd like to have it on a handheld.

Heh. I had to re-buy the Diablo battle chest because of this. Who thought it was a good idea to stick the CD keys on the outside of a paper sleeve? Those are the easiest to lose. Fucking print them on the inside of the manual or something.

Definitely bought the chest a couple times. I have a level 94 hammerdin btw :)

Probably the same for me... I got them on all those, twice actually on 3DS between VC and Legacy Collection, plus on Wii U VC. Im a little surprised I never got them on Wii VC now that I think about it, but maybe I did and just did the upgrade on Wii U? >_>

Will probably end up getting the Legacy Collection on Switch, because Im crazy. :(

Runner up probably SMB3. I think I own that all the ways I can but there wasnt double dipping as much as with Legacy Collection and obviously not on non-Nintendo consoles, but Ive got all the VC releases and All Stars releases and GBA version...

I'm struggling to think of a game I've bought three or more times. I think the only one is Pokemon GSC. I had Gold, Crystal, and later Heart Gold.
For games I bought twice, I had:
Crash Team Racing (PS, then again years later)
Spyro 3 (same as CTR)
Pokemon Red/Yellow
Pokemon Sapphire/Omega Ruby
Ocarina of Time (two different Gamecube discs)
Wind Waker (Gamecube, Wii U HD)
Hyrule Warriors (Wii U, Legends on 3ds)

I think that's all. There's a few games I've bought twice or whatever because of remasters or just because the disc broke, but I've definitely bought MGS3 the most times. MGS2 is probably right behind it actually because of these collections.

Just not counting Pokemon at all (I'll get the different versions in a gen and sometimes multiple copies of a version when I find it cheap -- which is why I have 2 copies of Emerald ($10 on clearance) and either X or Y)
