The metric is apparently not viewership, attendance, profitability or merchandise since all of those can be shown as comparable to WWE in various ways. Like, attendance was JUST pointed out as one of his metrics and yet when I demonstrate that NJPW's PPVs are completely comparable, the goal line is moved again.

ECW had some of the biggest names ever, had a National broadcasting contract (literally was replaced by WWF), revolutionized the industry perhaps more than any except McMahon himself. I feel more comfortable putting ECW there than TNA if being honest.

Only behind WWE and NWA/WCW AWA in my estimation.

I mean, you can say that same about NJPW as well.

I mean, Inoki is the WWE Hall of Fame.

Ring of Honor is also not an indy for that exact reason. They may not be major league, but there's a difference between "not major league" and "not an indy."

If MWC wants to argue NJPW isn't major league, he'd still be wrong, but at least he wouldn't be fighting against a literal definition.

I didnt vote because I just didnt watch enough wrestling or as enthused this year to even remember many key rivalries or storys or matches so I just passed

But I would say that an honorable mention for storyline/feud of the year should be McGregor and Mayweather, even though it was boxing and not wrestling its signficant enough to get some love for the year end topic imo

I didn't vote because my ballot would be incredible WWE centered and I know they have not had the best hardly anything this year. They've put on some really good matches but obviously NJPW has had them beat on most things and a lot of the other promotions have been doing good. I felt like if I had voted based only off of what I'd seen then I would possibly be shifting the results in favor of something that didn't deserve the win.
