Eyeshield 21 is likely the closest we're going to get. This is the only anime I can think of that's based on American football at all, and it was at one point sponsored by the NFL and planned to air on their NFL Rush website. The whole series is available for streaming (subbed) on Crunchyroll but it looks like the English dub was never completed.
