it's probably the best zelda formula to date. It is one of the most innovative games I've ever played.

They went back to their roots with the NES version which allowed you to complete any dungeon in any order except they made it in 3-D.

Nintendo has already begun work on a follow-up system to the Switch, so the next Zelda will be on that hardware in four years.

well you can play the dungeons any order, there are a shit ton of towns and villages with a plethora of side quests to do, there are tons of unique environments, and there is a shit ton of equipment.

I would have been happy if they just gave us the ability to turn into a Zora/Goron/Ruto in the DLC tbqh

That shit made Majoras Mask super fun. Imagine being able to actually freely swim as a Zora, or roll wherever the fuck you want as a Goron, or Fly wherever the fuck you want as a Ruto?

I wouldn't mind a full LOZ remake on the BOTW engine.

yeah but they already did that before. What's fun about repeating shit from old games? Breath of the wild is amazing because it did something different. It seriously created a whole new genre.

It's a good start. I'd just like some proper dungeons instead of or alongside the shrines. And just more of everything (and more variety) really: weapons, enemies/bosses, etc.

I wouldn't go that far.

The thing that I think BotW does so right is how much it embraces verticality. With enough preparation, there are no boundaries.

I wouldn't mind both an Odyssey 2 and a sort of BotW 2 honestly.

yeah i agree so much. The amount of depth you can see on the screen is insane. You can literally see places that are a 20 minute horse ride away. It's fucking crazy. The Y-Axis is used on a whole other level in this game.
