It's true Larger and stronger supporting cast, a simple GioGio but with much more charisma and pronounced feelings than Jotaro, fantastic stand concepts and battles, minor villains who's motivations aren't "lol paid by DIO" every single time, a main villain that can built up in terror similar to how DIO was and one that would be incredibly fun to see in motion, and much better overall pacing, clearer stakes, and more tangible motivations for several characters. --- ... i read the all of phantom blood and the first volume of Battle Tendency and stopped after that. because i found the series boring tbh.
