I actually really enjoy the bloodborne board game - it's competitive co-op, where you need to work together to win, but the player with the most points at the very end wins the hardest.

Also I'm trying really hard to be less quarterbacky in pandemic but it's hard when other people i play with are always asking me for advice.

Bloodborne board game is the most fun I have ever had with a co-optional board game.

So I'm trying to find a decent game, not necessarily co-op but can be, that doesn't require a large table (Or possibly no table) as I have a group of 5 to 6 coming over on Friday but don't have a table as I basically live in a bachelor pad and either eat on the sofa or at the kitchen bar area

Could even be on a console but not hidden agenda as we played that last gaming night

At recent game nights we have played Pandemic, T.I.M.E. Stories, Scythe, Hidden Agenda and Munchkin for reference

Power Grid is an excellent choice for 6 players. It scales well, the rules aren't terribly complicated and it appeals to both expert gamers and more casual gamers. It's really a great game. Plus, it's not nearly as big of a table hog as something like Scythe.

I would also recommend Keyflower, 7 Wonders or Alhambra for 5 or 6 people. If you want something a little lighter, Sushi Go Party is very solid for a group of 5 or 6.

I love Alhambra a lot, but I disagree with recommending it for a group of 5 or 6. Too much sit around and wait, along with so much going on between your turns it's almost impossible to plan.

huge ups for power grid and keyflower. they're not tiny-footprint, but yeah, they're comparable to scythe i'd say. and better, imho!

Looks like I have more games to go through unless the recent recommendations were all for Shattered's request of 5-6 player games

Ended up buying Kingsburg and Twilight Imperium Rex since they were on sale and seemed super cheap ($25 and $30 respectively) but didn't get chance to play them due to being swamped at work and not getting a chance to go through the rules prior to people arriving. They look interesting though, anyone have experience with them?

What we actually played were Tokaido and Carcassone as both worked with the limited table space we had and number of players (Had 7 people but we just made the 2 couples team up to give us 5) and one of the guys brought them as a back-up after I mentioned being snowed under at work.

I'll very likely pick up some of your suggestions over the next few weeks though as it seems like we are going to start getting together every 1-2 weeks instead of like every 4.
