The entirety of Finn and Rose's plotline. Thought it was dumb, didn't make sense, and ultimately just fucked up everyone else's plans. I also was not a fan of Rose as a character. I loved Finn in TFA, but his role in this movie was just lame and not interesting.

Finn was a better character in general in TFA

Should have just had him in a coma through TLJ and wake up in the third film

They had nothing for Finn to do so they gave him busywork. Finn was much better in TFA, where he had meaningful things to do and wasn't put into a meaningless comedic misadventure.

Also, the irony of Disney, the richest and most successful movie production company on the planet, putting in a ham fisted "anti rich people" message in their movie.

Yeah, their plotline was really stupid. He was also supposed to have gotten over his cowardice in the first movie.

They also did not need to have that goofy ass scene with Leia. I'm totally fine with her having force abilities and being able to protect herself in some manner of explosion like that, but the way they did it just looked stupid.

Disagree. Carrie Fisher passed away, I was expecting Leia to die in the film. It was a real surprise when she didn't. And I think that awareness of her passing had more people feeling that as well. If Carrie Fisher was still alive it wouldn't have had the same anticipation of character death

You don't have to spoiler tag. The topic has spoilers in the title.

I'm fine with her being alive. I'm just saying it was a visually ugly way of doing it. It just looked fucking dumb. They should just made her put a force bubble around herself or some shit. I don't know. Like maybe the bridge explodes and begins to decompress and people start flying out but she reaches out with her hand and you see a little shimmer of force juice close over the hole or something.

I don't know, I'm not a movieman. I'm just saying it looked stupid. I think most people agree on that.

I saw someone mention that it would've been a better if it was a Poe and Finn mission. (A different kind of mission too.) Or Finn is still in a coma, but we get flashbacks of his life.

She braced before impact though, she saw and knew it was coming, and waited to bring herself back in after debris had moved away. it was pretty clear when watching it again that it wasn't just random. Leia closes her eyes and waits for impact. With that perspective it made the scene flow better. It wasn't my favorite part of the movie by any means but it's made out to be a lot more out of left field than it is.

Again, I'm not arguing with the logic of it.

It just looked terrible and goofy as hell.

Exactly Disney trying to ignite class warfare is no bueno. Lucas would never have done this with his films.
That being said I enjoyed the movie more than any other star wars movie.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of that scene with Leia coming back from the explosion. Definitely could have been done differently, it just looked odd.

I did think the light speed kamikaze was pretty fucking awesome.
