Lol

Sony is dumb so they dont let any mods be available that use external assets. So I can get mods that alter game mechanics or add things to the game, but nothing that uses any graphic models not already found in the game. Its really dumb.

I played it. the graphic to me feel like they are from the ps2 era of gaming. it's still cool. i had to turn off the fov motion because i couldn't stand walking or turning and the screen blacking out on the sides. I know it's suppose to help motion sickness.

Also i really was angry that in the openning cutscene they keep fading to black and jumping you to the next place. Like when you have to get off the wagon it teleports you off and then when you get to the choping block it teleports you there too.

i haven't really tried out the move controller gameplay yet. I tried to try it last night and the game crash and the world caved in on me. it got really trippy in 3d. i wish i took a movie showing you what happen and the effect of the game crashing. i couldn't move but the i can still move the camera . Everything behind me was like shattered glass inside glass and all in 3d.

Okay I played until you get to riverwood but then needed a break. I used the move controllers, it starts you out with the teleport system which works well but I elected for direct movement. You basically use a single button to move forward, two buttons on the other controller to change direction horizontally, and look up and down vertically with the headset. It sounds confusing but it works really well.

The direct movement did eventually make me feel a bit nauseous, but not nearly as bad as other VR titles where you move directly(VR racing games are practically unplayable for me). When I was sneaking movement was obviously slower and that didnt bother me at all.

Melee Combat is really rough around the edges. Swinging weapons feels reminiscent of playing a Wii game. Magic is ridiculously fun though, and it took me a bit to get used to the controls but once I did archery is amazing. Accuracy is much faster and easier than using analog sticks to aim, for me anyways.

The game environment looks incredible in VR. It feels like you are really in Skyrim. The draw distance is crazy far and the sound and weather effects are very immersive. Unfortunately all the stuff in the world looks pretty bad. Items look ok I suppose but NPCs and enemies have ridiculously low res textures when you see them up close. Also all the Bethesda jank is a lot more apparent when it feels like you are in the world. NPCs all move around like robots and when you go to pick up items or loot the move controllers always seem to read in bizarre angles.

I can overlook all of that especially since I know it is a Bethesda title going in, but the one thing that is just downright frustrating is the menu screens and inventory management with the move controllers. Even saving the game or changing items are a hassle to get your gestures just right. The system is very sensitive and moving just one selection over at a time can be difficult since an extra inch of movement from the controller can send you from one end of the list to the other.

Overall the game is very fun in VR. It will be so much better though when someone makes an open world VR title with this kind of scope from the ground up though.

@Mead

i too feel the worst while playing driving games. it's werid that flying game like StarBlood Arena i'm pretty much fine in. Thumper i'm also cool playing. and the london heist driving scene i had no problems.

I guess my mind need that inertia while turning in driving games. i try to make myself even more queesy by moving my body when driving. like leaning left of right while driving makes my body go beserek. which is fun for me to test the limits of my body. It's an odd sensation that i'm trying to figure out why my body feels this way.
