This is honestly the first time I've ever had a new phone. How do I get it up and going and transfer my old phone to the new one? My new phone has all my contacts in it right now, but it says I have no Service

Spotify plays just fine, but when I went to test making a phone call it beeped and told me to turn on WiFi Calling or something to that effect.

Not sure. On Android, all you have to do is move the SIM. do apple phones have that?

Is your sim inside? Did you call your phone provider to activate the sim?

Might need to call up your cell provider and do the switch that way. Hopefully you have another phone to use.

I switched from iPhone to Samsung last month and that's how I handled it.

Take the back off. Should be a Sim card in there. Or do apples take Sims out from the side?

Sim tray is usually at the side of the phone or the top.

Are you going from iPhone to iPhone?

You can literally back your old phone up, then restore the new phone from that back up and plug in the SIM card and bam done.

My old phone is the iPhone 5s, btw

Yeah so what you should do is what I posted.

Back your 5S up to your computer, and then do a restore from backup to your new phone. It literally brings everything over.

Then just take the SIM card from the 5S and put it in the new one.

Back up your 5s on iTunes first. Then it should be ready to move the SIM over to the new iPhone.

As far as I'm aware doing it through iCloud isn't just a copy+paste job like doing it through iTunes essentially is. If you do it through iTunes you don't need to redownload anything.

Its the same thing, literally I have it set up so it syncs every day at midnight while I sleep to the cloud. I just got a replacement X at SoHo Apple Store and literally redownloaded everything on the spot as if I had my same phone

Please read the instruction manual. I get the feeling you can't just take the back off of an iPhone... The manual will also help you get used to the features and stuff...
