The pressured magma chamber?

Like when we detect pressure building up, we drill it in multiple points so the gas and lava would come out slowly like a leaking pot instead of exploding like a long held diarrhea.

I mean it woukd still make a mess but better than fiery explosion of death and clouds that sear flesh and burn trees
