Do you think rich people should be obligated to create jobs and increase wages because of this tax bill?

Presiduntz Trump was in a jolly mood when he walked into Mar-a-Lago as he bragged to the crowd "You all just got a lot richer" as he told a group of diners at a nearby table of two people as the club charges $200,000 initiation fee and 14,000 in annual dues.

He made that statement despite repeated insistence that the new trillion tax overhaul benefited the middle class and not the rich.

Almost all americans will see their taxes go down but many critics feel the wealthiest citizens benefit the most and at a disproportionate rate.

He claimed the tax bill was "not god" for him personally but refused to release his past tax returns that confirms or denies it.

NYT estimated Trump saved 11 million in his 2005 tax bill and an additional 4.4 million on his estate tax bill

He said back in September that "the rich will not be gaining at all with this plan. We are looking for the middle class and we are looking for jobs, jobs being the economy".

Bernie Sanders wrotee "At least Trump is finally telling the truth about his tax bill"

Do you think rich people should be obligated to create jobs because of this tax cut? let's see what people think

Most of those running large businesses are already saying that they won't hire more people or create more jobs due to the tax cut. While a few companies are giving their present employees a raise, others will use that money to either automate jobs (which throws many middle class workers and lower onto unemployment) or enrich their stockholders at their workers' expense. We might be in for a French Revolution of our own if people don't wake up.

There was a thing where one of Trump's guys held a thing for CEOs and asked them if they'd make more jobs if the tax bill went through and then acted surprised when almost none of them raised their hands.

Should?

Of course not. This was a blatant give away to the rich, there were never any strings attached nor did the writers of the bill want there to be any.
All I know is, if all these mostly older trump voters think I'm going to shoulder the cost of all these handouts to the rich that explode our debt, they're fucking wrong!

The only way companies will hire more people is if this tax cut allows them to start up projects they couldn't do before. For a lot of companies... That's just not likely to happen. Companies don't hire people because they have extra money kicking around, they hire people when they need work done. If there's no extra work, why would you hire more people?

If they're going to lobby for tax cuts, they should do something to help the people who have to deal with the consequences.

What I don't get is how history keeps repeating itself like this. Nobody ever thinks it will be them to get revolted against, I suppose... As soon as the people have nothing left to lose, that will be it. And unlike ither places, this particular population is very well armed.

And this is exactly why it's for small business owners, not established global empires.

The more small businesses get cash, the more big businesses needing employees will appear.

These people won't understand that. They just copy and paste the talking points from their Facebook feeds
