So since we have a bit of an off period, let's have a chat about how the game is going.

Honestly, I thought that Joseph would be doing a little better than how he's doing. At this rate. I see him at most making it to the top 20 but not the top ten. If Jolyne keeps getting the support she is, then I think it's likely that she'll get into the top 10.

What about you guys, anybody who you're shocked about doing so well or not as well as you thought they would be doing?

I knew there would be quite a few JoJo characters to make it this far considering how popular the series is, whether it's through the show, the manga, or the memes.

What about you guys, anybody who you're shocked about doing so well or not as well as you thought they would be doing?

I feel like Captain Falcon got meme'd this far because he's mainly known as a video game character. Plus it's ironic too, since he was the face of the fanbase's anger about there being "too many anime swordsmen" in Smash Bros. despite being one of the only Smash characters who has actually starred in an anime himself. I'm not really shocked that he's still in, since memes can carry things pretty far (remember Draven?), but more like pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't be upset if he won.

Out of the non-joke/meme characters, I feel like Kyoko (especially after Homura went out so early) and Rinne have both exceeded expectations. They've both been accompanied this far by the faces of the franchises they're from (Madoka and Nanoha, respectively) so I feel like the huge support for those two star players is helping Kyoko and Rinne stay alive as well. But at this point, I can't see either of them going farther than their more popular counterparts. I could be wrong though.

I'm very happy to see so many JoJo reps make it this far. I'm especially hyped Gyro made it as far he did, because he is one of, if not the best, character in all of JoJo. I'm also hyped to see Jolyne still in, I was expecting most of JoJo manga characters to get eliminated much earlier, so I'm hyped she's still in. I wonder if she'll make it further than her dad.

I'm surprised and very happy to see a Ghost Stories rep still in, would have liked it to have been Momoko though, but Amanojaku would have been my second choice.

I'm also very, very happy Tiger Mask has so much support. Dude is great and I wasn't expecting to see so much support for him. That's hype.

I'm surprised that All Might doesn't have that much support. I thought My Hero Academia was more popular. Early on in the game I was thinking he was gonna be a contender for Top 2, I'm not so sure now.

Yeah I didn't think Tiger Mask'd get so many votes. I never hear anyone else talk about 'im'n I've barely had ta vote for 'im so far

Pop, during this break before the final stretch, I do want to ask you this question: when/what will the next rules change be? The last few rule changes were at rounds 74, 61, and 35, and all of those involved raising the number of saves needed for a character to be safe rather than dropping the number of votes each person gets per hour.

So when can we expect the next rules change, and will that one be bumping it up to 5 saves needed per character or dropping us down to 1 vote per hour?

To be fair, Tiger Mask also has support from wrestling fans, and the wrestling/anime fanbases have more overlap than most would expect. The Tiger Mask character has existed in manga/anime form since the late 60's, and has been wrestling in real life (with various Japanese wrestlers being under the mask) since the early 80's.

I haven't decided on a round yet, I'm kind of playing the Rule Changes by ear. I like the pace where we've been at, so the last few were just upping the votes needed. I would guess the next change to be around when we hit Top 20-Top 15-ish. The next change will be 1 vote an hour.

Ayy. I am proud of my girls for making it this far, and I'm thankful for the support they've gotten even if a lot of their votes was returned favors for me voting other people's noms.
