Before I fully dive in, what are people's thoughts on the anime vs. the manga and the sub vs. the dub? (From what I gather the manga is the adaptation this time around, so it's not actually canon... or something?)

Dub > Sub for Iforgotmytractor alone

Both the manga and the anime are equally canon this time. AT did Storyboards, gave them to Toei and Toyataro and told them to adapt them. And the dub is so so so much better so far.
They even got Brian Drummond for copy Vegeta.

Next episode he's gonna use Gamma Burst Flash to use his ki up to the point of near death. But like Goku he'll only get half of it. In his case attacking without thinking.

Vegito will be the first to get Ultra Instict Omen because both Goku and Vegeta will have half of it.

Manga is definitely on a different track than the anime so far. For those who aren't keeping up with the manga we have so far:
Goku hasn't used SSBKK at all, went toe to toe with Hit at the universe 6/7 tournament as only Super saiyan god, and basically ohko'd him the moment he turned blue. It's also implied vegeta could have beat hit if he hadn't wasted energy going Blue on cabba
Trunks not unlocking a rage form vs black/zamasu.
Vegeta gets super saiyan god and uses a method where he curbstomps Rose black by conserving stamina in God form, then switching to blue to deal damage.
Goku stays perfectly even with fused zamasu by containing Blue's power leakage within his body, staying at 100% stamina the whole time. Fused zamasu actually unfusing due to...I forget really, something about zamasu not actually being a supreme kai or something. Then somehow fused zamasu re-forms and starts to clone himself buu-style, and that's the impetus that causes goku to call future zen'o
Goku actually loses to toppo in the exhibition via ringout

So yeah, quite a few differences, and I'm sure we're not done.

Missed this topic because I always search "Dragon". Dammit Emerald.

Good episode with great moments. Thoughts throughout it:

- This final stage fusion seems like it was taken out of a DBZ movie.

- 18 almost being eaten only for her to sacrifice herself later for 17. I had a hunch she was next.

- That scene with our warriors powering up was pretty cool.

- Holy fuck 17 continues to be amazing. I think he's the MVP for U7.

- Next episode looks amazing! Vegeta actually hitting and apparently doing damage to Jiren? Yes, please! I just hope this means Vegeta gets a power-up, and not that it's his time to go.

Reminds me of hatchiyack. Which wouldn't surprise me that they draw from other non-canon material considering we got Kale, and Mosco (robot god of destruction) was apparently taken from Luud in GT
