Definitely keep Red over Yellow. It'd throw off the usual Pokemon experience because of the starter situation (You have to have Pikachu and get all the other starters early)

Colosseum (and especially) XD: Gale of Darkness are both freaking amazing. Pokken is a fun side thing.

Puzzle Challenge is fun but not a necessity.

I liked Pokemon Ranger 1 but it is extremely touch-screen oriented. Gonna be difficult to play on an emulator so I'd say just skip it.

Pokken is pretty cool but again, not really necessary for this.

Hey You Pikachu is a good novelty game but probably a skip here.

Stadium 2 and Battle Revolution, nah

Colosseum and XD could be interesting adds though depending on the demand. I still need to play through them myself but I'm not exactly in a rush to do so.

As much as I love Pokemon, I would get burnt out so fast doing this. Still, tag to see how far TC makes it, but don't force yourself. If you find yourself getting burnt out, better to call it quits than to force yourself and thus make you hate Pokemon forever. :P

And yeah, definitely use new Pokemon in each game (new as in, new to you. They can be from previous games, but if you never used them, it's still a new experience). Somewhere around Gen IV when i realized I had used a fucking Kadabra/Alakazam to carry my team four times. I've gotten into a habit now where I will only use Pokemon that I've never used before.

Even when I replayed Red over and over I changed up my teams. Why not just try to see how well you can use Beedrill or Raticate or Parasect sometimes?
