First, I did play Oblivion first so that might be why I didnt find the game enjoyable. I couldnt stand the combat animation and the game was overall tough on noobies.

because we're all spoiled by more polished engines and adventure rpgs, not the hardcore old fashion role playing game that morrowind is

the combat system isn't good for everyone

I tried to play it a looooong time ago, and I couldn't get past the combat system.

I can deal with he clunky outdated aspects because the rest of the game is so great. You have a lot more freedom and options to how you can play the game, and there's no leveling BS that makes the game lame and boring. There's excuse for the combat though. The first time I played it I gave up, but later I tried it again and fell in love with it.

honestly if you're playing on PC, the combat isn't a factor because you can just mod it out.

sure the animations aren't exciting or anything, but when you eliminate the rng aspect of it, it becomes easier and more accessible

there is the graphics extenders but that can only do so much
model and texture replacers exist
