Surely if you do not obsessively use workout machines on a regular basis, your muscles will shrivel like salted slugs?

You might as well keep working out, unless you're going to quarantine yourself until after Christmas. Regular exercise does help with your immune system. So, while you might get sick, if won't be as bad as if you weren't working out on a regular basis.

You didn't mention that you were already sick. In that case, you know your body better than anyone else. If you honestly feel that you can't get through your workout, just take some to recover.

That sounds terrifying. If you do get sick you'll lose your progress during your week off recovery.
