It got worse as it went on, but for the most part, all of it is solid except 4

1 was great, but The Flood went on a little too damn long.

I always remember that moment in Two Betrayals in CE where you stumble onto a large bunch of Covenant and Flood charging at each other. It was so chaotic. That was so damn good.

If they remake Reach, I hope the revamp Invasion. Such wasted potential

They were all fantastic, honestly. It's hard to say. Maybe Reach, overall for a good blend of difficulty and story.

Halo: Combat Evolved was great and had some of my favorite levels like Truth and Reconciliation or Assault on the Control Room but it was copy-paste for half of the levels.

Halo 2 for me was the least memorable campaign, I guess I just played it the least that could be why.

Halo 3 was super friggin fun and it has my absolute favorite halo level: The Covenant. That levels was basically the peak in terms of gameplay and story payoff. However, it also had Cortana... and I hated that level more than any one before or since.

Halo ODST was pretty fun and had great music but it was also fairly easy and short.

Halo: Reach was awesome, the opening level was great and from the get-go you have the awesome scene grappling with an Elite and the game really doesn't drop-off anywhere at all after that. I loved the level where you and the whole squad are defending Dr. Halsey, everyone getting picked off one at a time, and the Last Stand final level.

Halo 4 was really easy for the first half of the campaign before it finally picked up in difficulty and it started to get a little to fantasy-driven imo but it was still pretty good. My least favorite campaign, though.

3 and 1 have the best ones even though they each have the worst levels (Cortana and Library).

2 and Reach have noticeably smaller, limiting play areas, especially in vehicles.

Am I the only person who likes the Library? I understand Cortana, that level was confusing noise, but Library was really frantic and challenging.

2 was a bigger jump in quality from 1 than 3 from 2, but 3 wins everything just from the legendary marketing campaign

ODST imo. The levels in the Master Chief games were always obnoxiously long and too open for an FPS.
