Is it because there's less nose, or perhaps because there's a psychological element to chugging a can?

This beer is 5.6% alcohol but I'm chugging it like it's a can of coke on a hot day.

I hate the taste of beer regardless. Only time a can is easier is when I shotgun it.

There's more airflow in the opening of the mouth on a can than there is on bottle

Apparently drinking from a can actually helps the beer's flavor taste better

But a bottle is still way classier

Canned beer is not the same as bottled, and it doesn't contain as much alcohol. You can drink much more cans and feel no effect from it. It's a scam, never buy cans.

I'm pretty sure it's straight up illegal to lie about the amount of alcohol in a a product. Where did you get that tidbit?

His ass

The only advantage canned beer has over bottled is the fact that no light enters the beer at all.

Beer lasts longer when canned due to no sunlight. If you truly want the best flavor you use the appropriate glassware and serve it at an ideal temperature that varies from beer to beer.

I personally don't like canned beer. It just doesn't taste right. I mean it's drinkable, but I don't enjoy it as much as a bottle

Maybe it's placebo, but I taste metal the whole time and it ruins it for me

Placebo. I was running a beer sampling at a location once with two craft stouts- one was canned, one was bottled. All the snobs told me the canned one was awful because they could taste the can. So I swapped the bottle and can behind the sample cups, and then all the snobs told me the bottled stout tasted like a can.

the metal can definitely affects the taste when you drink directly out of the can. this is definitely noticeable with Coke.

try pouring the beer into a cup or something, it'll taste the same.
