Smokers have boney faces and smoking helps develop hollow cheeks. I have noticed this myself. Ever since I started smoking, my cheeks have gotten hollower.

Smoking don't shape your face at all. Its just a coincide that you have met smoking skeletors. Smoking makes your teeth worse, breath smell,make you paler, makes your skin worse. So, smoking doesn't make you look better, it makes you look much worse.

I love hookah too but every time I do it I end up smoking too much and feeling dizzy afterwards, so I have trouble even getting back home and I would get headaches the entire day, this is why I don't do hookah anymore. Only cigs.

I feel ya. I stopped getting those headaches when I switched from quick-light coals to stove-lit natural ones. Made a HUGE difference in the taste and pretty much had no headache afterwards.

Just chug water before, during, and after, and make sure you've eaten no more than an hour beforehand. And pace yourself too, I get that lightheaded feeling if I take a bunch of quick puffs. It's a lot easier to pace yourself with friends because it's generally puff puff pass.

Yeah, and people still put marijuana on a pedestal despite the lack of strong research on the subject.

Dont get me wrong, I support its medical legalization, but its not the wonder drug people make it out to be.

There is however plenty of evidence that smoking tobacco and cigarettes has only negative effects on people. It only fucks your body up, gets you a nicotine addiction, and harms you long term health wise even if you manage to quit.

Weed has none of those things, does have a positive effect on the body, no addiction (I have dated someone who has picked up, quit, and then recreationally smoked weed), and there is no long term health damage.

Weed is safe, hell if a gun was put my head and I was given the choice of weed or a cigarette I would pick weed every fucking time.

What kind of research are we hoping for? What do you think it's doing that is cause for concern? I mean, we know what cigarettes are and do and there is no defending them. No cigarette smoker alive thinks they have a positive effect on them. Contrary to weed which you freely admit is beneficial....and every weed smoker/user would tell you that. It just seems like a cop out, or, what's the point of even saying "It's not researched enough?"

Its great that every weed user would tell you that, but thats all anecdotal/case report level evidence the weakest form of scientific evidence. We put all other medical treatments and knowledge through rigorous testing because bias and correlation without causation are extremely dangerous. So why dont we hold weed to the same standard? Why does it get a free pass? Why wouldnt you be in favor of it going through the same rigorous testing so then you can say for sure, without a doubt, that weed is good? I certainly think thats a worthy cause to support.

In any case were arguing over nuainces here. Of course tobacco is bad. Of course I know that. All I commented on was that weed is being put on a pedestal. I think it doesnt deserve such a pedestal until its been through the same process almost every other drug has been through. Its my way of showing support without being blind.

But that is a government thing. It isn't going to be researched in the way you want until it's legal federally. I would LOVE for everything there is to know about it be known. I just don't understand why you say it's placed on a pedestal? If by that you mean personal testimony to its benefits? Like do you think people are just saying these things for no reason? I can't imagine there's a user out there who doesn't want it to be researched to the fullest extent...but that isn't our choice :/ people rally around it so much because it has to be if there is ever any hope for it to be legal for all.

I fully understand it needs to be legalized for the way to be opened for more research. Hence why I support legalization. But when I see people online treat it as some miracle super drug with no side effects, thats what I mean when there are people who put it on a pedestal. It has great potential for pain management and cancer patients in particular, but to claim it is the best treatment ever in other areas, with no downsides and no side effects, is simply asinine.

Were on the same side, I think we just have a misunderstanding.

I don't pay attention to people who claim it's some sort of panacea because that's obviously not true lol. I think the people you're talking about are probably a vocal but small group.
