I for one am quite happy! It's a victory for me, and a step in the right direction for the country. Better than anything Nobama would do for us.

Wonderful. It's hard to believe people are ignoring the percentages they will save and the child double tax credit.

This is by far more than what Obama or the Democrats gave us.

Not too great. According to my husbands estimates, well probably be paying about 2-3k more in taxes per year, with the cap on SALT and property taxes.

We upper middle class folk are the perfect subjects to take money from to give to the super rich without causing a massive uproar. I expected we would get screwed as soon as Trump was elected.

The end of SALT will definitely start bringing pressure on states, cities, and counties.

Liberals got owned, want higher taxes, pay it yourself, the option is actually in there. Go on libs, prove what hypocrites you are by ignoring this out Republicans gave you.

Next up, Entitlement cuts and waving bye bye to the U.N. and NATO.

You can thank the union for that.

A union did something useful, in 2017?
That's pretty cool.

Liberals have never actually wanted to pay more taxes - they want someone else to pay more taxes.

Don't know as I haven't read it yet and therefore don't know yet how it will effect this country over the next decade. But I figure that it ultimately won't be good for 95% of the people of this nation and will continue us on the neoliberal track developed and built upon by the last six presidents.

If it's going to be a MegaKansas, it'll start to be apparent by midterms next year, and incredibly obvious by 2020.

Thought I saw a tweet with the CEO saying that wasn't the reason why.

Either way, it's PR.

Yeah, Kansas can't even afford 5 day public schooling because of this kind of thing and of course alot of public problems are understaffed and underfunded but lots of money is going around for the rich there.

You can't cut revenue, without also cutting spending.
http://www.kansascity.com/opinion/readers-opinion/guest-commentary/article186353068.html
The year of 2013 opened with a state unemployment rate of 5.5 percent. By the end of the year, it was down to 4.9 percent. Such improvements were not universal, either. Kansas rate was a full point lower than neighboring Missouris at the end of 2013. Kansas rate now stands at 3.8 percent. The states small business climate improved to the point where the Kauffman Foundation gave Kansas a grade of A in 2013.

But with all this good news, the Legislature simply couldnt restrain itself. Former state treasurer and now U.S. Rep. Ron Estes noted in The Wall Street Journal that between the 2010 and 2018 budget years, during this era of supposedly devastating cuts caused by right-wing tax policy, lawmakers raised expenditures from $5.3 billion to $6.6 billion, a 24.5 percent increase. Not much courage there.

That's actually a pretty good point. It'll be interesting to see how things play out.
