What do you even mean by taking it far though? Editing an image in mspaint isn't really a huge undertaking. The only reason it exploded like it did was because who she targeted is insanely hateful. The fact he went into an innocuous topic unrelated to her and firstly shitted on it, but also unprovoked attacked Sayoria tells you all you really need to know. People like that who just go around starting shit and hounding someone whether they're there or not have an unhealthy, hateful obsession that brings down the room wherever they go. The fact he also seems just generally hateful and abusive certainly doesn't help.

Honestly people who post like he does should just be banned. Site would be better off.

There was no need for Sy to do anything like that though. To take the effort to try and slander someone else through fake documents, even by ms paint, still needs some semblance of effort - effort that shows me that she needs to go do other things (and the fact that shes obviously here 24/7)

People are toxic, yes. I agree. Its why theres an Ignore feature. Its the goddamn internet. If youre taking offense to what some random on the other side of the world is saying then you definitely need to take a step back and breath.

No need I suppose, but when someone is abusing you all over a board for a long period of time, ignoring it doesn't really make the problem go away. All it does is cause everywhere you go to have invisible people talking shit about you that everyone else but you can see (and quote so you see it too) and potentially derail topics you're in.

The simple truth is the mods don't do nearly enough to deal with trolling and harassment even when it disrupts topics, boards, people's browsing experience on the site. What Say did is basically vigilante justice and self-defense. And while that's not an ideal outcome, it's hard to say the mods give users much recourse. I mean heck, why couldn't Deadpool "just ignore" Say then, and the people mocking him? It's because if someone wants to demean you and talk shit about you all over the board, putting them on ignore isn't going to really do anything.

I'd say Deadpool is the one more deserving of being called out for having an unhealthy investment on the boards since he's the antagoniser. I've never seen Sayoria going around shitting on specific people for personal reasons in random topics. >_>

You're missing the point. It doesn't matter how big a part of someone's life this site is: I'm saying the ignore feature straight up doesn't work. Not for what you're advocating it for anyway.

If someone is going to follow a person around and talk shit about them, and put them down, and even do it in topics they're not in, making that person's posts invisible specifically to the poster they're targeting isn't going to solve the problem.

Now, if the ignore feature also prevented the one ignored from entering the topics of the person who has them on ignore, that'd help a bit, but even that still wouldn't solve the problem.

This site supposedly has rules to follow, and a moderator staff, so users shouldn't just be allowed to go around harassing people and shitting up the boards with their pissant grudges and emotional baggage. Now if you want a site with basically no rules except what GameFAQs is legally obligated to address where people can lie and harass and insult people to their black heart's content, that's one thing, but this site is supposed to have some order, some rules, some quality control, so GameFAQs should actually act like it. It never should have escalated to the point it got to, and sorry but acting like Mr. Cool Guy who is just above it all and scoffing at people taking the site seriously doesn't really refute any of that.
