that is weird to think about... basically the resulting baby is time displaced. they were supposed to be born 25 years ago.

how about the fact that the mom is technically only 18 months older than the baby?

We have embryos on ice and have used one so far with the second shortly. We were wondering if they have an expiration date but technically they dont. We just have to pay for additional storage time.

Not really their bloodline. The child is essentially not related to the woman that gave birth to her.

Why do you say that? The current data we have actually shows the opposite, that frozen embryos are less likely to experience birth defects compared to fresh embryo. The current theory for that is that a weaker embryo is less likely to even survive the freezing process in the first place.

The first baby resulting from a frozen-thawed embryo was born in Australia in 1984. The embryo had 8 cells when frozen, but 2 cells died during thawing.

Imagine this: a woman goes in to become a surrogate, only to find out just after receiving an embryo that she's actually one of a set of identical twins. The other embryo was frozen while she developed naturally. She finds out that the embryo she received is, in fact, her own twin.

Has Black Mirror done an episode about this? I don't keep up with that show but it sounds like a premise they'd do.

The first baby resulting from a frozen-thawed embryo was born in Australia in 1984. The embryo had 8 cells when frozen, but 2 cells died during thawing. Even though the transferred embryo had only 6 living cells, it was still capable of developing into a normal baby.

We consider that any embryo that survives thawing with the majority of its cells intact has the potential to establish a pregnancy. In practice, over 90% of embryos survive with all their cells intact and these embryos implant at high rates after transfer. Damage to embryos tends to be an all-or-none phenomenon, that is, either the embryo survives or doesnt. Loss of cells does not result in birth defects.

I'm really not, because all you're proving with this is that you have no argument to begin with and are just throwing a "no u LOL" post as an entry-level trolling attempt.

By all means, keep at it.
