But big game trophy hunters pay big money to hunt those trophies, and that money is then used for the conservation of the endangered species, at least that's what the internet says.

Yeah, because games always perfectly reflect reality... Flash news, it's not like that in reality. In the real world, animals are raised on a farm and then send to a butcher to be killed and cut into meat pieces and then send to supermarkets. It doesn't grow on trees or in the ground. Some meat does come from that. That's the kind of meat I don't eat. The one grown in the ground is what I do eat. Plenty of things grow in the ground. In fact, we got a little garden set up and plan to grow tomatoes and stuff in the summer. Haven't tried to grow meat yet, but I know it's possible ... Copied to Clipboard!

Actually, deer have relatively little usable meat. But it is good to keep their population controlled.

Sheep and cattle, you get like 80% of the weight as usable meat. With deer, 40% of that weight is usable. --- "Oh, my mother; oh, my friends, ask the angels, will I ever see heaven again?" - Laura Marling ... Copied to Clipboard!

Deer jerky is delish Don't worry, there's a local butcher shop I know that'll break down the animal. I've been doing some light research and it isn't unreasonable to walk away with only around 20 lbs of meat. --- "Oh, my mother; oh, my friends, ask the angels, will I ever see heaven again?" - Laura Marling ...
