Fall on the wrong position in your bathroom? Bam! You can break your neck or cause internal brain bleeding.

A drunk driver slammed into you? Bam body crushed like ant.

So many ways to die in life. Too many in fact

I dunno some days I wish it were easier.

I mean sure there are lots of things that can happen but they're all really unlikely unless you're actually going to commit suicide or do something "rob a drug dealer" stupid.

It is really easy to continue living, however. Like real easy, assuming you live in a first world country.

Hell, we've all made it this long already.

Part of the reason I am moving back to Canada. Driving on Thailands roads is crazy. They are absolutely insane and no one in this country knows how to drive. Just designated the msot dangerous country in the world to drive.

24,000 people dead per year and the crazy part is the statistic is actually much, much higher than that. In Thailand it is not considered a traffic fatality if the person was alive upon arrival to hospital. If the person dies in hospital, even if only minutes later, then it doesn't count.

Every day I see the craziest videos on Facebook. Just the other day a bunch of people were ran over in traffic because a car driver high on meth claimed to have a seizure. 2 died at the scene, multiple died at hospital apparently. 2 weeks a modified pickup truck carrying like 15 people crashed into a tree because the husband and wife driving got into a physical fight. 5 teenage school girls were killed, again more died at hospital.

I know I can die in a traffic accident in Canada but it's far less likely. Plus there is some semblance of law and order which can't be said about Thailand. I'm going to try and reduce mine or my families risk of dying randomly. Hopefully I can manage not to trip over my dog on the way to the toilet and die tonight.

Well the bright side is we live in a time where there is least chance of dying. Back then a scraped knee can lead to a deadly infection or a common cold will leave you suffering on your bed for several days then die in horrible way.

Since living in Asia I finally get where the "asians are bad drivers" stereotype comes from. Drivers in Asia are freaking aggressive as hell and the right of way goes to whoever has the biggest vehicle. I have a lot of immigrant friends in Canada and they always ask me "why do you look over your shoulder before switching lanes?" They have no idea what shoulder checking is

It's kind of weird to think that a lot of people who don't give a fuck about their lives and live in the fast lane 24/7...will still likely live to their mid-50's or so. At least that's usually when alcoholics tap out. That's honestly a pretty long life, especially compared to how long people normally lived just a couple centuries ago (maybe into their 30's).

By your 70's or 80's, you're basically not really supposed to be alive anymore.

The Asian mentality is "I'm only responsible for what is in my direct line of sight, the rest is on everyone else". I can't count how often someone will zoom out of an alley on a scooter or car without so much as looking. Literally makes it seem like they are suicidal.

The sad part is, in a recent poll, over 60% of Thais believe that dying in an accident is just bad luck or fate and there is nothing you can do to avoid it. They still believe that amulets and Buddhist tattoos (I have a bunch of the latter) will protect them from harm.
