Also, I'm curious about Final Fantasy XV. People seem to hate it. Is it really that bad? Also, if it's not, is the deluxe edition worth the extra $10 (includes the season pass)?

Grabbed Lost Legacy. Been meaning to try it since it came out and I randomly saw I had $10 in PSN cash that I completely forgot about... so basically got it for $10, doesn't seem like I can go wrong for that price!

FF15 is a bad game, a house of cards built on baffling game design. each major decision, and many minor ones, about the structure of the game makes you wonder what they were thinking, how they arrived that their conclusions.

they made an open world game that fails to utilize the strengths of its space, instead filling it with large quest chains straight out of MMOs. hunts are similarly simple and drawn out. there is no strategy involved. while it appears to have some degree of preparation in terms meals that you either prepare for yourself or eat at a diner, these are the simplest of buffs, providing just damage, xp, magic, or health increases. major towns are ages apart in game, encouraging you to drive anywhere from 2-10 minutes to get there. until recently, the car couldn't drive off-road, meaning you were stuck inside the car doing absolutely nothing. Square did not take that opportunity to flesh out the characters through conversations, as the FF boys have the same 5 shallow conversations or quips ad nauseam. the only joy found in exploring the world is through buying old OST collections at various stores, which will remind you of better times spent in superior worlds.

is that the game where you after every level or something you choose which of your teammates to set free, giving them a happy ending but also losing them in gameplay, making you have to choose whether to do good by your favorites or screw them over to keep playing with them

I'd say decent. I didn't care for Bastion and had no interest in Transistor, but I ended up enjoying Pyre quite a bit. It's a pretty different game from those two.

I loved Bastion and loved Transistor. I'd be surprised if Supergiant made a game I didn't like.

Worth 12 of my dollars just to find out.
